Partner with Alberta FAST
Alberta FAST aims to be a strategic partner and thrives to deliver measurable value through predictable performance, executive engagement, and continuous improvement.
Alberta FAST offers two categories of engagement. Both include priority intake and access to Alberta FAST’s standardized start-up infrastructure.
Strategic Member — for pharmaceutical companies, biotechnology companies, and contract research organizations seeking a long-term strategic partnership with Alberta FAST, typically reflecting a significant Alberta clinical trial portfolio and interest in strategic planning and collaborative process improvement. Strategic Members receive a dedicated Strategic Account Manager and Executive Sponsor, an Annual Strategic Account Plan, quarterly business reviews, an annual Executive Review, full access to the Provincial KPI Dashboard, and a seat on the Sponsor Advisory Forum. Contact us for current annual membership fees.
Associates — for organizations with smaller Alberta clinical trial portfolios, seeking project-based engagement. Associates receive core Alberta FAST benefits — priority intake and start-up, standardized provincial master agreements, and a summary KPI Dashboard view — at a lesser level of strategic engagement.

Alberta FAST supports Alberta-based investigators conducting industry-sponsored clinical trials by matching them with clinical trial opportunities, guiding them through the site-selection process, and providing a highly trained start-up team. This allows trialists and their teams to spend less time on operational activities and more time on patient recruitment and the conduct of high-quality clinical research.
Through faster clinical trial activation, the recruitment period is lengthened, allowing more patients to benefit from innovative treatments. Increased enrolment performance can translate into greater study-related funding, helping investigators expand and sustain their clinical research programs.
By accelerating study activation and improving coordination among research sites, health care providers gain earlier access to innovative therapies and emerging treatment options for their patients. The initiative also improves visibility of available clinical trial opportunities, making it easier to identify and connect eligible patients with research studies that may benefit their care.
By strengthening Alberta’s clinical research ecosystem, Alberta FAST helps bring more industry-sponsored trials to the province, expanding treatment options for patients, supporting evidence generation, and contributing to the delivery of innovative, research-informed health care.
