Since its inception, the centre has undertaken over 60 clinical trials in cardiovascular disease. The CVC is an Academic Research Organization (ARO) and an established centre of the University of Alberta within the Department of Medicine. The CVC garners support through research grants and contracts with industry and external peer-reviewed agencies. Onsite equipment includes an ECG Lab and a Food Core Lab.
